Introducing Hush, the anonymous social media app that allows you to express yourself freely without fear of judgment or exposure. Crutchfield is sending me a replacement amp, but I still have doubts.Express yourself freely and anonymously with Hush, the social media app that protects your privacy and ensures authentic conversations. I've spent 2 days working with Crutchfield's tech help and can't solve these glitches. I'm planning to install a Bosch relay to control power to the amp, but not sure where to tap into for the trigger lead. There are no problems when I bypass the amp entirely. I mounted the amp to an insulated nylon block to isolate it from the chassis. I have tried to be meticulous about the install. If I quickly repeat this there is no static. If I turn off the HU, disconnect the HL inputs from the amp and 30 minutes later reconnect them, I'll get a static discharge through the speakers. Close the door and wait 5-10 minutes, then open door: "POP". Close the door and immediately open it: SILENCE. This happens when the system is OFF and the Ignition/ACC switch is OFF. There is an loud "POP" from all speakers when I open any door.It stays warm/hot when the HU or ACC switch are off. The amp and speakers sound waaay better than OEM. The amp manual says it turns itself on and off by sensing an input signal. I'm using the HU speaker outs to send the signal to the amp. It is a 50W RMS x4 unit with the "one-size fits all" high level/low level inputs. I chose it because it fits under the dash. I'm now trying to install an Alpine KTA-450 Power Pack amp. I've replaced the factory speakers with Alpine component speakers. I'm keeping the OEM Head Unit and speaker wiring. I'm trying to accomplish a simple low-level upgrade in my 2018 Lariat non B&O SuperCrew w/ pushbutton start.
